Market Steer Show & Sale 2011

Canadian Western Agribition will host a Market Steer Show & Sale, Tuesday, November 22, 2011 in the Exhibition Stadium.

- Steers will be shown in classes, based on weight.
‐The top 2 steers in each class will be invited to the Grand Champion class. 
‐The Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion will be sold at auction during the Tuesday evening reception.

Entry Fee & Prize Money: $15,000 added 

$250.00/entry fee: $200 to CWA and $50 added to the Grand Champion Prize pool
$10,000 added to the Grand Champion Steer.
$5,000 to the Reserve Grand Champion Steer.

Sale:

‐Only Grand and Reserve Grand Champion Steers will sell.
‐10% commission:
             - 5% to CWA scholarship fund
             - 5% to CWA show 
‐Grand and Reserve Grand Champion Steers will remain on display in a prominent location for the duration of the show. CWA will assume responsibility for care of the steers.

Show & Sale Rules:

1. All entries are subject to the General Rules and Regulations of Canadian Western Agribition. Please read the rules and the IAFE Show Ring Code of Ethics.

2. Entry deadline: November 1, 2011 (Entry forms will be available at the end of August).

3. Entry Fee: $250.00 plus GST

4. Steers must be age verified and less than 24 months of age.

5. All Steers will be identified throughout the show by CCIA tag # and show number

6. All Animals are subject to drug and/or residue testing.

7. No horns

8. Entries will be divided into classes based on weight at processing Sunday November 20. Breed of sire will be recorded at processing.

9. Top 2 steers in each class will return for the Grand Champion class.

3:00 pm Sunday, November 20 ‐ Steers must be in the barn
5:00 pm Sunday, November 20 ‐ Processing (CCIA tags will be read. American Cattle must be
