Chris Sutter Award

Instituted by a motion of the CWA Board of Directors in 2002, the award was originally called the Canadian Western Agribition Builder Award. In 2003, the award was named in honour of and presented to Chris Sutter, the first Agribition President and one of the show’s founders.

Nominees for the Chris Sutter Award will have played a significant role in the development and sustainability of Canadian Western Agribition through contributions to the organization and/or its programming, in keeping with Agribition’s mandate to be the best and most sought-after marketplace for agriculture products and expertise to the world.

Original motion: "The Chris Sutter Award is bestowed by the CWA Board of Directors to recognize exemplary contributions to the development of Canadian Western Agribition by an individual, group, corporation, institution, organization or agency."

Consideration will be given to the nominee’s contributions as volunteer and/or exhibitor as well as any and all other forms of support to the organization including financial, in-kind or developmental, and/or as an ambassador of CWA in Canada or internationally, or other activities that demonstrate a critical contribution to the growth and development of the event or organization.
