Cedarlea Farms is located in the southwest short-grass country near Hodgeville SK. Owned and operated by Garner and Lori Deobald along with their daughter Kylie and son in law Brian Hawkins, they run 250 purebred Charolais females along with versatile ranch, cow horse and reining bred quarter horses. Their breeding program is based on calving ability, growth traits and temperament. Selection tools such as EPDs, ultrasound data and DNA testing are used to enhance the consistency of economically important traits. The Git ‘R Done bull sale is held annually on the first Tuesday of April at Windy Willows Farms north of Hodgeville. This year’s sale will be held on April 6th, where approximately 60 yearling Charolais bulls will be on offer. For the first time ever, Cedarlea Farms will be opening up their entire cow herd by offering pick of the herd at the Charolais Superstar Sale in Saskatoon November 28th. Cedarlea Farms have also consigned a select group of bred heifers to the Sterling Collection Sale happening December 5th in Saskatoon.
