Agribition Pancakes in the District

Agribition is kicking off the month of November as "Agribition Month" by hosting a free pancake breakfast on Saturday, November 3.

Party on the Dirt

After the final Agribition Pro Rodeo performance on Saturday night, wrap up CWA 2018 with a cabaret party in the middle of the rodeo arena! DJ'd music, adult beverages, and a ton of space to dance the night away.

Rank Mini Ponies

Added to the rodeo lineup at CWA this year is the Rank Mini Ponies. These ponies and young cowboys can be seen each night at the rodeo and compete for cash, a shiny buckle and bragging rights! Rank Mini Pony with headquarters in Edson, Alberta, is helping to grow the sport of mini bareback and saddle bronc riding through the use of social media by highlighting the best kids versus the best ponies.

Texas Longhorns

CWA adds another breed, Texas Longhorns, bringing the total number of purebred beef breeds represented at Agribition to 12. The Texas Longhorn show will be on Monday, November 19 and the sale will be on Tuesday, November 20. It has been 24 years since the breed has been at Agribition and CWA is excited to have them back! Alpacas

CWA will be home to the Premiere Alpaca Event hosted by SABN Inc. on Tuesday, November 20. This alpaca show will provide a gathering place for alpaca breeders to show and market their animals and breeding programs. They will be located in the Canada Centre Show Sale Arena.

Elite Three Canadian Cow Dog Futurity

Ranch Dog Inc. along with the Canadian Cow Dog Futurity Committee is excited to bring this premier cow dog event to Agribition! This event will showcase some of North America's top cow dogs as handler and dog maneuver through a set course to determine the 2018 Futurity Champion.

Therapy Livestock Display

See and feel how Wild Blue Psychology uses cows, donkeys, potbellied pigs, goats, ponies, rabbits and chickens in its therapy programs to treat anxiety, depression and other mental health concerns.

The Fleece and the Furious

Teams of three go head to head in bubble balls and herd sheep through an obstacle course. The team with the most sheep at the end of the round wins!

Food, Fuel and Free Trade presented by TD Private Wealth Management

Brad Wall, Saskatchewan's 14th Premier, and Frank McKenna, New Brunswick's 27th Premier, former Canadian Ambassador to the United States and currently the Deputy Chairman of the Toronto-Dominion Bank, will participate in a panel discussion focused on food, fuel, and free trade. The event will take place on Tuesday, November 20 in the International Trade Centre and feature a moderated panel discussion followed by a Q&A session from the floor. Following the panel, an auction will take place with all proceeds going to STARS Air Ambulance.

Mental Health Workshop presented by FCC

Suicide among farmers is a growing problem, and the industry is responding by providing tools to help those around people who are struggling. Bridges Mental Health Services will deliver a two-hour Mental Health Essentials workshop to CWA visitors as a condensed version of a "Mental Health First Responder" training program. The goal is to raise awareness of mental health in agriculture while building a culture where all producers are encouraged, supported, and empowered to take care of their mental wellbeing.

Agri-Preneurship Workshop presented by RBC Future Launch

A half-day seminar-style workshop and networking event for young entrepreneurs, future entrepreneurs, or business students working in the ag sector who are looking for advice, mentorship and industry knowledge around building a successful business or service. Participants will learn from industry experts, local entrepreneurs, do hands-on exercises and have the opportunity to meet and network with like-minded individuals.

Vet Simulator

CWA has partnered with the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and the Ministry of Agriculture to bring a state-of-the-art educational tool to Agribition. Starting in 2017, CWA's Education Program includes a full size and anatomically accurate cattle birthing simulator. The first of its kind in Saskatchewan, students will see - and touch - exactly how veterinarians help in calving, complete with a hands-on and interactive opportunity you'll see only at Agribition!
